I've been reading ahead using the PTSD CPT module that the VA has.
Skimming the Self esteem module, we do the usual things about creating stuck points, and rephrasing them into Self statements that aren't stuck.
However, looking at this, I don't think it's going to work. I can see, something like:
- Yes, I'm overgeneralizing here. I sometimes do things quite well.
- Yes, beliving that I'm a constant fuck up isn't true.
- Yes I sometimes do things right.
- ... agreeing with all the particulars.
Then concluding: "I'm a fuckup, a waste of space, a burden on people near me, I don't deserve to live, I don't deserve good things, I'm a totally worthless turd that won't even make good compost"
Earlier on, I have little trouble with stuckpoints that were the result of my mis-interpreting the event.
But I've had the "I'm a loser" mindset for decades. This is not just a casual rephase away.
I can make similar cases with the Trust module and probably others.
Have any of you actually had one of these modules that just didn't work because the stuck point was just so thorooughly ingrained that rational thinking didn't help.
