I don't really know where to start. We are in the middle of a court-case against the person who abused her when she was a child. Her case has been postponed over and over for 3 years. We were about to go to trial last week but it was postponed again and it has taken a very large toll.
My SO is spiralling, and I can feel so much rage and distress - I feel like some of it is being directed at me. She has been talking like she is going to end our relationship. "You'll find someone else" "i'm sorry for putting you in this position, you should never had to go through this". She has been avoiding eye-contact with me, doesn't want to talk to me, yesterday was the first time she hugged me in 4 days; but things turned for the worst this morning.
I understand why she is feeling this way, and I will keep trying to be there for her and to help make the environment safe. But honestly, over the 6 years we have been together, this is the most difficult position I have been in, and I don't know what else I can do. Usually I can get through to her, but right now her defences are up and reinforced that I don't know if I can help her through this.
If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
