Wondering if anyone has successfully completed Radically Open DBT therapy and if it helped or didn’t help with your childhood developmental trauma?
I just completed a DBT PHP and the clinician leading the group (who is a really great therapist) says that the RO DBT intensive outpatient treatment is what’s going to be best for me instead of regular DBT.
This is not the first time that this type of treatment has been recommended to me, in fact after my first Trauma IOP 4 years ago the clinician at the time suggested this treatment for me as well.
The way that has been explained to me is that DBT is more for people with BPD or that struggle with self control of their emotions and inhibitions.
Whereas RO DBT is for people with overcontrol of emotions and are actually very good at delayed gratification.
Just wondering if anyone has had a positive experience for their CPTSD symptoms after this program.
