To start, my fiancee (R) and I recently had our newborn daughter. R tested positive for marijuana when our daughter was born on June 2nd. Our daughter tested negative. We were released from the hospital on June 5th and got a call from DCS on the 7th. The case worker did a preliminary check but she was from another county so our case was transferred to our current county. She said they would contact us within 1 month to do a follow up visit; However, it has been almost 2 months and we haven't heard anything or been able to contact our new case worker. We've tried emailing, texting, calling, no response. Are we safe to assume they've closed the case even though they have 90 days to do a follow up?
