The Chinatrust Brothers have signed 34-year-old Dominican right-hander Esmil Rogers. Rogers has a 7-year career in the major leagues, spending time with the Colorado Rockies, Indians, Blue Jays, and Yankees. Across 210 MLB games (43 starts), he pitched to a 19-22 record to go along with a 5.59 ERA and 1.57 WHIP. He recorded 386 strikeouts across 454 innings.
He then played in the KBO for three years, pitching for the Hanhwa Eagles and Nexen Heroes. He had a 13-9 record, 3.58 ERA, and a 1.23 WHIP. He struck out 149 across 196.1 in 29 games (all starts).
