Honest noise reviews of the iBreeze APAP

Post Body

Greetings everyone! Unfortunately my trusty AirSense 10 has kicked the bucket at Year 3 - warranty over at 2, and insurance won’t pay for a new machine until 5….. My DME heavily hinted that by the time mine could actually be repaired, the cost of the repair plus renting a machine through them until then would be more than a new machine. I also can’t justify paying out-of-pocket for a new AirSense 11 when my insurance will pay for one in 18 months-ish.

I’m looking at the iBreeze APAP as a cost-effective machine to get me through til my insurance will pay for a new ResMed. I’ve been a CPAP user for a few years so I’m comfortable with the settings and fitting and stuff. My only concern with it is the noise level. I have seen the decibel ratings, read reviews from quite a few sites, all seem to say it is a relatively quiet machine but there are some occasional people that say it is loud and noisy. I was hoping to get some input from my fellow real CPAP users about how quiet or loud this machine really is. I have a relatively high pressure rating at 15 so I don’t expect it to be whisper-silent, I just want to know if there are any surges or loud noises so it doesn’t keep my wife awake. I have the silver lining of our disease where between having sleep apnea AND working night shift, I could sleep through a freight train horn. She was fine with my AS10, so I’m hoping it is at least kinda close to that. Any help is appreciated!
