I have a Dreamstation that’s effected by the current recall. I’ve been have degraded performance for a while so I decided to crack it open and replace the blower motor with one from another unit I had where the logic board died.
The results were frightening due the degradation of the sound abatement foam. It had melted and got sucked into the blower. I’ve been inhaling that stuff for potentially years now because I’ve been using the SoClean unit since it was released.
I think they are hiding the biggest issue which could be serious long term health effects. Would definitely recommend checking your unit to see what it looks like inside. Here is a link to the video I did showing just how bad it was.
