This was my third attempt at the auditing and attestation exam. Reg is the only exam I have remaining to pass which I will start studying for next week.
Attempts and difficulty: 1 - 65, Hard 2 - 68, Easy 3 - 85, Hardest Perhaps I did better this last time because the questions were more difficult which means more weight is assigned to them.
I didn’t do anything differently this time than what I always do. Becker is the material that I use and I didn’t skip through any of it, even the final review. Other than the course material, I primarily relied on my notes.
I won’t refer to the AICPA or its examiners as clowns because there’s nothing wrong with clowns, but I’ve said from the beginning that if you make the same types of assumptions as they do the process will be shorter. Personally, I’m glad I don’t.
In different study groups on past platforms I’ve mainly seen candidates mention that they didn’t think their experience helped in preparation for any of the exams. I don’t have audit experience but even if I did it wouldn’t help much as studying and experience are two separate worlds for me.
I know the examiners are scared of Halloween and thought it would be best to have score release dates today, so stay strong if you didn’t pass. At least you’re not as scary as them.
