Seeking Guidance on US CPA Requirements for International graduate

Post Body

Hello, fellow CPAs and aspiring CPAs!

I recently graduated with an accounting degree from Canada and have completed 150 credit hours. I’m eager to take the US CPA exams but want to ensure I meet all the requirements and avoid compliance issues afterward.

I’ve noticed that some states, like Colorado, emphasize the necessity for candidates to have studied US taxation and GAAP. Since my education was based in Canada, I’m particularly concerned about potential gaps in my knowledge.

My main question is: Which states are most accommodating to Canadian graduates looking to take the CPA exam?

I’d appreciate any insights or experiences you can share. Thank you!
