How does self employed CPAs work?

I started studying for CPA back in start of May and just took REG. I have been considering pathways and self employed CPA tax work is one I am really considering to do.
How does one find clients after setting up self business? Will there be a lot of in person interaction involved with clients? Asking because Iām deaf.
For billing, how do you compare other CPAs to see if you are not charging too low or too high?
