So i read lots of posts on this sub and did my own research and comparisons - and finally decided to try the Beaver Run skiing school at the Breckenridge Ski resort. Here's some details for those of you who might consider Breck:
I paid about 400$ for 2 half day lessons ( 12:30-3 pm but after 3 pm you have 1 hour free to ski the Silverton run). In the price, it was also included the ski lift and rental equipment ( boots, skis plus poles and helmet)
When you get in to town the best place to park is in the parking garage at South Gondola Lot. It has 4 levels, lots of spots available at 11 am and cost 20$/ day ( follow the signs for skier drop off). After i parked the car, i walked to the main buss station right next to the parking lot and got the Brown line to Beaver Run - about 5- 10 minutes
I got to the Breck Sports rental place around 11:20 and I had to check in for my lesson at 12:15. When i got there i was the first in line, which was a nice surprise because most reviews said it takes 2 -3 hrs! The person who helped me said 1 hr earlier, the line was huge. I was afraid they might not have helmets because it's not required at Breck, but they did. My shoe size is 9, and a 27.5 boot was perfect.
The lesson was for 10 people ( on the site i think it said 5 max) so we had to wait around for a while for everyone to take their turns, but in the end i conquered my fear of steep hills and I did t!! I fell like 6 times, twice holding the stupid T Bar and at the top when i released it. It wasn't a pretty fall at all lol but hey, i got up and did it again and had so much fun!
