Recommendations for Electric Dabs
Post Body

Hey all, I've been looking at some good portable(ish) devices to take dabs with, and I found a great deal with this product:

https://cityvaporizer.com/product/puffco-peak/

I've tried them before and found them to be a good way to take a dab. Does anyone have any recommendations on any of the add-on products they offer to go with it? I'm completely new to owning a product to dab beyond using a heated dab straw.

Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Thank you ALL for the advice! Though I can definitely tell this is a sub of stoners 😆. It took so many replies for someone to not disregard my exact question, though part of that may have been on me since I said any advice welcome. It did have me do a lot more work into putting effort into getting the best device for me, so thank you!

Upon hours of research of everyone's suggestions and others, I found:

1) Puffco customer service sucks. But it's huge, and people seem to hype it. I have seen my friends' puffcos get dirty/break easily if taken somewhere. Because of the popularity, there are a lot of customization options for it. I'm not sure I really want to risk any of the horror stories I've read today.

2) Focus V Carta 2 seems to be a good bang for my buck for an electric dab setup. Less customization and popularity, it also looks very bulky from pictures I've seen compared to the sleekness of a Puffco Peak/Peak Pro. Many reviews said very little reclaim was left compared to Peak usage. The fair consensus of reviews was clean, enjoyable dabs.

3) I also investigated some handheld dab pens such as the Lookah Seahorse and Huni Badger. My friend had a Seahorse, but it didn't seem efficient at all. It got dirty very quickly. I've never personally tried a Huni Badger, but many swear by it, almost in a cult-like manner impressively enough. There's so many customization options with these sorts of things. Many are very expensive and seem a bit complicated for me, though I've glanced and seen plenty of videos for research and directions.

I could do more research, but at the end of the day, I don't want to spend thousands on glass. I also don't want to have any super tedious cleaning procedures. I would like a device that can be portable, but it doesn't have to be able to fit in my bra for a concert or something if y'all know what I mean.

I don't really want something that can easily break, so though I was leaning toward a Huni Badger, I found the bubblers to be very expensive and prone to breaking and/or not working right from the start.

That left me back to looking at the Focus V Carta 2, and I have to say, for the price point, it seems to check all my boxes. A smooth efficient hit where I can quickly clean it right after each hit as I go. It seems to be portable enough to take with me if I'm going to a friend's or what not. There is customization if I want to go that route. For the price, you seem to get a bang for your buck. I am leaning towards one of these guys.

I will honestly admit I didn't really look very far beyond that. I can't afford really expensive devices beyond $400 ish to start. I saw a couple of cool novelty devices. If I'm missing an affordable, reliable setup, I hope someone tells me.

Another huge point for me is having a smooth hit as I have asthma and dabs tend to destroy me. I only want one as I've moved somewhere I can't smoke flower inside, plus portability for taking dabs elsewhere.

Thank you all again for your advice/continued advice. Also, if anyone knows of upcoming 4/20 sales for products, it would be much appreciated. ✌️
