So I had COVID back in January of 2021, and for the most part, it wasn't terrible. My case was very mild and my sense of smell came back a few weeks after I recovered. I am also fully vaccinated.
The one thing that did linger and I noticed right after I got the all clear to stop quarantine was my acne. I've always had at least one pimple on my face at all times, but usually they would be small, easily coverable ones. The bigger ones would happen around my period, but even then it would be a couple and they would go away quickly.
But once I recovered, my acne changed significantly. It went from small pimples to huge, red and inflamed cystic acne along my jawline, chin and neck. I broke out like bats flying out of hell. They would last for weeks and once they got under control...BOOM! Another huge breakout. And to this day, I'm still dealing with the acne, even with changing my skincare routine. And it still gets even worse around the times of my period and when I'm predicted to ovulate.
It could easily be a hormone imbalance that happened concurrent with my COVID infection, but the timing is weird for it. So has anyone else had any skin issues pop up when you tested positive and when you recovered?
