I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this.
So I have anxiety and take medication for it. I've been on the same dosage and the same medicine for years. It works well no side affects etc. So long as I stay on the meds my anxiety stays pretty low and I don't have panic attacks unless I'm experiencing something very extreme.
For reference I'm on citalopram (celexa). I believe it's 20 mg a day.
Well back in January I had covid. Mild case. I'm fine now. But...I feel like ever since that time my meds aren't working as well. Like ..it's not bad but I've almost had panic attacks a few times now for very mild reasons. It almost feels like I need to up the dose.
I mentioned this to the Dr and he said that covid could have an affect bc it's neurological....
I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.
PS: other things that I think are lingering affects of covid: - smell/taste is still off. Sometimes it seems normal and other times not - a bit gross but I have a lot of boogers. Like...I feel like I'm constantly trying to get (dry) snot out of my nose (despite that I didn't have a runny nose during covid) - my sleep schedule is just so off kilter. And getting it back on track is really hard.
