Contrary to flair, I am not currently testing positive, but I have been diagnosed with post-viral syndrome by my local doctors.
I’m not entirely sure there is anything to be concerned about—BUT, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from this disease, it’s that diligence is supremely helpful.
As the title indicates, I’m a long-hauler/long-termer. I had COVID in July and my body is still, seemingly, irreparably damaged from the virus—though, with noticeable improvement.
I’ve recently become active after months of zero activity, from fear of damage to my body. I’m finding that I’m having moments of intense brain fog (which isn’t foreign to me, at this point) and chest discomfort. Out of curiosity, I put on my pulse ox and elected to just keep a close eye on it over a period of time.
It seems that whenever I’m experiencing these episodes, my O2 is dropping suddenly from 99% to 94% and then slowly climbing back up. The O2 levels fall within normal ranges, but there’s no real reason I should be experiencing this change at rest and my gut says there’s a cardiovascular concern responsible for this.
Should I be worried? Anyone have similar experiences?
