I had my first bout with Covid in April 2022, and then again about 6 months ago but that was a very, very mild case. This time around though? Holy hell, I have never been this sick. I’m on day 10 and my lungs are absolutely shot. I’m saturating well (consistently above 95%) but my HR skyrockets with even the simplest activity, the nasal congestion and sinus pressure is insane, I can’t hear out of my left ear intermittently because of the fluid accumulation, the brain fog is wicked, I feel so weak, and I have had all of the GI symptoms with this bout. Almost everything I eat makes me physically sick (didn’t lose smell or taste but my appetite is almost non-existent and I am so, so nauseous). My cough finally feels like it’s starting to become productive and I’m getting rid of of some of what’s in my lungs. My ibex has helped a bit; I’m trying to hydrate as best I can and despite having no appetite, eat light foods to keep myself going.
Has anyone had similar symptoms or severity? How long were you symptomatic for? Is there anything else you found to help? Doctor says to ride out and treat symptoms but I am MISERABLE. Can’t work out (which is a big deal for me to help my anxiety) because I’m so winded, can’t sleep well because of the coughing. I’m just…miserable. Any words of encouragement?!
