Pretty bad COVID, keep testing negative on rapid tests.

Post Body

Started experiencing flu like symptoms out of nowhere on Monday. Horrible body aches and fever, worst headache of my life. Nothing involving my throat or any respiratory symptoms. I kept testing with at home tests, different brands, and all came back negative. Not positive in the slightest. Yesterday I went to ER because my fever would not go down and I had double vision and thought my head was going to explode. Thought for sure I had the flu. I've never had covid before and hadn't been exposed that I was aware of, and I mask in public. Sure enough, the test at the hospital is positive. Everywhere I have read says that false negatives are common with the at home tests but only if you are asymptomatic or have very minor symptoms. Anyone ever had a negative at home, even if feel really sick?
