I'm sure there are many posts a day like mine. Just venting and also looking for any input if possible.
I started feeling "off" on 12/14 Thursday afternoon. Friday 12/15 I slept all day and had a on/of sore throat and headache later that night with a temperature of 98.8 (I knew something was wrong because I am normally in the 97 F range).
Saturday 12/16 still felt shitty with an on/off sore throat and heavy fatigue. Took a test which was negative.
Sunday 12/17 I tested positive (twice, wanted to be really sure!) Symptoms have been a low grade fever (not going over 99.3 because i have been taking ibuprofen when I feel feverish/headachey), baaaaad headache that only advil can get rid of (tylenol rarely works for me), mild cough, chills and minor aches, and congestion/runny nose.
Monday 12/18 same as Sunday but lost smell and taste.
Today I felt a *little* better--no sore throat, body aches, or cough--and only took Dayquil in the early morning. It wasn't until one hour ago I took more ibuprofen for the first time today because my temp started rising (99.0) and my headache is back and awful.
How long do these covid fevers (even if low grade like mine) last? Or is there no real timeline? I know that covid is unpredictable and so many people react differently (which kinda sucks because it's hard to compare and estimate when we will feel better!).
I know I'm not the only one to say this, but i really want to be better for the holidays. 2021 I had omicron right after Christmas because my uncle "had a cold" gave the entire family covid and I was sick for about 7-10 days.
Anyone have any input with my experience so far?
