Hi! I just got a 97' corolla. When I went to look at the car I was expecting it to be silver. Little did I know that the original color of the car is BROWN/GOLD!
Weird. Is the color just faded? clear coat? What could cause this to happen. It seems smooth enough. I would have mistaken it for paint. Certainly doesn't look like bare metal. Unless they made these cars with stainless steel....
I'm mainly just worried that the car will start rusting all over if this is bare unprotected panels
The bumpers are still the original color and some body panels still have some color showing.
(Picture is NOT of my car but looks the exact same) https://i.redd.it/i-just-bought-my-first-car-1997-corolla-ce-v0-vwjeazn07dla1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f2f6104fc21d9e1a08c64877b20f413ca3dbbb73
