I built a website to display during my business contract with someone, there was no agreement that I would transfer my work to them, there was also no agreement of it being included or part of employment other than displaying a website in general on my own servers.

When they terminated my services, I terminated the website. They hired someone else to use the way back machine archive to steal what I had and remake it completely. I have filed a DMCA request and they responded with a falsified letter, signature, and address. The website host enabled the content again even after I said I'm filing a case against them, and even after proving/mentioning the counter claim is completely falsified with a P.O. Box address too

I was never paid for the copyright nor the work I did on the website, I also was never in a contract to build the site I did build. It was purely for my own portfolio and not for their ownership. They did have "usage" of it during my contract, as I displayed it on their domain name through my server while I was contracted. But that was it at most.

I also have email/text proof from them where they are threatening me, extorting me, blackmailing me, and more relating to all of this about the website

Is there anything I can do about this? I'm struggling to find lawyers for some reason :/
