Does standing on runes make them secure faster?

This might be the wrong place to post this, if so I am truly sorry. In COD Vanguard Zombies when you stand on runes to secure them- do they secure faster with 2 people on them? Someone yelled at me today to “get my own rune” and I replied “they secure faster if 2 people stand on it.” The other player said “no they don’t.” Now I am wondering , did I imagine they secure faster with more people standing on them?
