Activision confirms "damage shield"

Just read an article about this, and what it does for those who are unaware is it prevents cheaters from being able to do critical damage to players. I think this is a breath of fresh air, despite the fact that some cheaters are still getting through ricochet's anti-cheat software. Just curious of what everyone thinks of this.
