Kills vs placement???

Post Body

Okay, so I've been seriously considering giving up on Warzone lately due to the fact that I have been struggling so bad at it. I only play solo mode and I have around a 1 KD and around 25 wins. I don't know how many thousands of games I have played though. I have been struggling a lot and getting more and more frustrated lately. However, I'm talking with my son, who can drop 20 kills anytime he wants, and he looked at my stats and reminded me that I have a very high number of top placements. I only have 25 to 30 solo wins, but I have over a 150 2nd places. I have almost 1k top 10s and I'm not sure how many top fives. If I play 10 games then I will make it to the top 10 3 to 4 times in that game span. Possibly more. I'm very very very bad at getting kills, amd will be lucky to get 2 or 3, but I'm consistent at getting to the end of the game. Oftentimes I make it to 2nd place and then choke or make a rash decision or panic and lose and end up in second. He informs me and assured me that if I played a different mode, perhaps trios or quads, that my numbers would be far better and I would have a higher KD and more wins because solos is much harder. I just rely on my own skills and abilities and enjoy playing by myself. So my question to the community is this, is it better to have a higher kill count or to have consistent top placements? I know some players play for kills and others play for wins but I am looking for a consensus and hope to get some good feedback here? I love the game, and really don't want to quit, but I'm getting so frustrated and being the alpha and successful person that I am I have a hard time dealing with loss and with struggling at something that I am so horrible at. Any feedback would be very much appreciated
