So, I play on PC. Have all of Warzone and now Warzone 2 the last few months. I have a 3090 TI, a 12900K, 64 GB of DDR5, and the game is on an m.2 with above average transfer rates — so specs are not an issue. I’ve run benchmarks on my CPU and GPU and also tested many other newer, demanding games — all of which are fine.
I have reset my settings. I have uninstalled my graphics drivers and reinstalled the last recommended ones. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiples times. My refresh rate is set to 240 hz in my windows display settings for my monitor, and it reads as 240 hz. Vertical sync is not enabled in game or in nvidia settings.
For SOME reason, somewhat recently, my game is stuck at or around 60 FPS. It hovers between 40-70 CONSTANTLY, but it also doesn’t FEEL like 60 even when it is above 60. I can not figure out for the life of me what is going on. I have tried quite literally everything I can think of to no avail. It is driving me nuts because I love the game, but I can not play it like this. Even if I turn my graphics down to the lowest possible, I still get the same frames (changing graphic quality actually seems to make no difference in my frames whatsoever).
Has anyone run in to this recently / fixed it? Any ideas? I’m at a loss — all of my hardware seems fine by all accounts. No overlays are running (nvidia, discord, etc). No real changes to my PC lately. I’ve uninstalled EVERYTHING I can possibly think of that could have anything to do with this. Ran a virus scan with malware bytes and found very little — quarantined what I did find. Nothing has made a difference.
Open to any and all suggestions, thanks for reading.
