Where is the best place to aim.

I just started playing war zone and have a very little COD background.
It seems most fights if I aim for the head and the opponent aims for my feet it makes very little difference.
Is it best to just spray the body?
It feels like no matter how hard I try to aim for the head without a sniper that it’s always a 50/50.
Either I down them or they win and have a sliver of health left. It’s always the same amount.
Honestly it feels like the entire game is just constant coin flips.
