push dagger challenge?

So the challenge is 5 melee kills with a primary 15 times. I used the riot shield, a primary, on several shiphaus matches, getting 20-30 kills a match, and its not tracking. Is the challenge bugged immediately upon release, or another sh fu? Just like the semi auto challenge...
