I’m switching to my PS5 from my Old Gen Xbox one s to play vanguard. Haven’t played PS since the PS3 days. Wondering what kind of difference it will be as a whole? And also if there is anything I should be made aware of? Haven’t played CoD since MW3 days and just started playing again at the last month of Cold War. Been playing Vanguard since Day 1 but Ever since Ranked play came out I’ve understood just how much of a disadvantage I’ve been on playing on a WiFi repeater with this old gen Xbox one s. Not sure how much help I can get switching to a PS5, is it worth it? (I’ll be messing with Router settings and stuff like that later on this week, cause ranked is seriously difficult always being on 100 ping. but for now, just curious about the difference with playing on PS5 and if it’s noticeably different?) any help would be greatly appreciated, no matter how tiny! I’m incredibly ignorant when it comes to FPS, 2.4gz/5gz, QoS, wired to main router as compared to wired up to a WiFi repeater like I currently am, etc etc. just tryna learn everything I possibly can). Been studying for a few weeks now on YouTube but it’s all been for old gen xbox one s. And I just got surprised with a PS5.) anyone else been in my shoes with questions for switching to other consoles?

Edit: Also 1 last thing, is there anything I should watch out for when unlinking my Xbox account with vanguard from activision and then Linking my PS5 up to my Activision account? (I ask because I have heard of people encountering “problems” when unlinking their accounts).
