So, I’ve spent the better part of the past week getting schooled in the art of understanding lag, latency, FPS, bandwidth, DNS, router settings, the wwhhooolleee schibang. And I have a few questions that I can’t find a single straight answer too.

I’m on the original Xbox One S, playing on a Hisense Roku TV. (Not the 4k ones, the like, cheap, $250 ones). While hooked up to a WiFi repeater with an Ethernet cable. And while I know the basic comments I’ll get so far from you guys will be, (after what I’m about to say), I’m just straight up looking for anyone who knows for sure what I can do. Because I LOVE playing ranked (new to it, been studying up on this format since ranked came out), but it makes it damn near impossible to play in this mode with a constant 70-120ms (80 on good games, cause MOST games are 100-113 latency and that bbllooowwsss going against people running around with 20 latency). Also, yes the typical “do this” to your settings in vanguard menu are set to where they should be. Texture streaming off, world/motion/ depth off, all that stuff like we’ve already been taught to do by now.

Here are my questions:

1 why the hell is my geographical location in vanguard settings set to a completely different area?

2 does FidelityFX CAS do anything at all for me since I’m on the original Xbox one s? (Been using it anyways). Also on 1080p with 120hz selected in console settings (not even sure I’m even using 120 in the system smh.)

3 Does Audio settings really affect stuff like performance or FPS? I was reading how it can, while looking stuff up on google.

4 been reading that people are wondering/believing skipping the 2 step authentication on activision account could make you sus with activision… Anyone know more about this?

5 what basic router settings can I change without impacting my Ma’s ability to work from home on the computer besides QoS?

Anyways, if anyone can point me in the right direction to finding answers for my particular dilemma I’d appreciate it a lot. Cause tbh, I’m not even sure if my console is operating at 30fps or even 60 fps, and having people appear out of thin air basically, is getting old…. In regular multiplayer I have no problem holding my own because I can switch up strategy while utilizing map knowledge and spawns. but ranked play is wwaayyy different for some reason. It’s like 80% of people running around as if they’ve got 0% latency or packet burst issues. It’s also strange cause my ping used to be around 40-50 the first half of vanguard… (now I’m even wondering if at some point I was shadow banned in the past from pissing people off in shiphause with the akimbo duelys for a couple months straight and now I’m just on some type of “watch list” cause of how many ppl reported me out of anger or being called “hacker”)…. idk, lmk if you got any tips please! Tryna improve my connection/lag/latency etc, any way I can!
