Can’t use controller on pc

Does anyone here know anything about this? I use my controller fine on cold war pc but it’s not working on vanguard. I’ve tried restarting everything and disconnecting and reconnecting. I’m using an elite series 2 controller and it works great but suddenly not with this game? If I go to the game bar on pc the buttons show up on the game but when I get back on the game and press buttons nothing happens. Thoughts?
