How do you trust your memory?
Post Body

I would’ve been 4, he would’ve been 14. I’ve been certain I’ve remembered these events a certain way all my life. That’s part of what’s so confusing about it. I remember worrying years later once I knew things like that were bad, but I shoved it down further, unsure I remember it right because I was 4. And now I wonder if I’ve just told myself to doubt it because it’s tough to face, and if it really did happen the way I think it might’ve. How do you trust a childhood memory? I don’t have a marked issue remembering anything else from my life, but 4 is so young. Do I remember being 4?
