I’m not from Butte. But I will be visiting for a few days. Maybe we are in the same hotel. You catch my eye in the lobby. I overhear the desk clerk tell you your room number. Later that night I walk by your room and see you didn’t shut your door all the way. I sneak in and close and latch the door behind me. Before you can say anything I’m across the room with one hand over your mouth and another grabbing you by the hair.
Or maybe you live in town. We bump into each other at a bar. Have some decent conversation. Afterwards I follow you home, making a note of your address, and that you previously mentioned you feel safe in your community and rarely lock your doors. I decide to test that.
