Few understand the pain you've been through. Some think you are just a mental case. Others think you exaggerate for attention. Those that were once close to you have become distant since your traumatic experience.

You have changed for the worst since your trauma. You've become reclusive, only going out for the essentials. You are having weight issues. The doctor simply gave you pills you don't want and can't afford. You rarely look at social media, except to... stalk your abuser?!?!

I want to assure you, it is not strange to be desirous of what once was the most traumatic event no one should ever go through. We all have that dark period in our life that shapes us into the hardened souls we are today.

Some people never get over their abuse, choosing fear of societal standards over the healing they truly deserve. We talk about the 3 H's (help, hope, and healing), but only as long as the 3 H's occur within societal standards.
