Do you remember your first day of school? Of course you don't, don't lie to me. You probably remember the feeling though, especially since it isn't the only time you've felt it. It's the same feeling you had when your best friend introduced you to their friends. The feeling you had the first time you had to present something to an audience. Maybe you're in college, or started a new job. Either way, it should be a familiar feeling by now.

You're alone, mostly, and nervous - but excited too. You daydream about where this moment in time will lead you. Are you the kind of person who imagines yourself doing great things? Or do you imagine everything that could go wrong? It doesn't matter. What matters is that you're alone, and you have challenges ahead. Then you meet someone, a friend. Someone who, without even trying, has earned your trust, your affection, a place in your heart and mind.

I like making friends. Especially friends who are lonely, alone, nervous, uncertain, fragile, dependent.

Sometimes, I think pranks are fun. Like tricking you into thinking I'll stop talking to you if you don't do something stupid, like slap yourself in the face, or fake an orgasm for my amusement. I've been told sometimes my pranks go too far though. But really, I don't know what that means. What's too far? We're just having fun together. It's not like I put a gun to your head. If you don't want to play along just don't, that's okay.

I usually get people to play along, since I'm so much fun to be around.

We're comfortable around friends. Let our guards down. It's a healthy exercise of trust. Real friends tell each other everything. Real friends trust each other completely. Real friends might fight sometimes, but they know and understand that friendship is forever, and forgiveness is important. They would never abandon each other.

It really hurts when a friend betrays your trust. More than when a complete stranger tries their best to hurt you.
