Bits keep burning
Post Body

Hello all, Ive used my shop’s CNC quite a lot over the last few years with 0 issues of smoking bits, which leads me to think that my feeds and speeds are good. Recently, I’ve used both a 1/4” and an 1/8” bit with the settings I normal use them with and both are smoking. I even bought a brand new 1/8” bit to see if the issue was a dull bit.

Does anyone have any idea at all what could be happening? I’m at a loss.
