Today Troels, the hopeful candidate for Brampton-Burlington, hosted a BBQ in Milton.

Troels steps unto the small podium to address the crowd before the serving of the food.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I am happy to see so many people here today. Today we are going to do one of my favourite things: Eat good, grilled food."

The crowd lets out a minor cheer, mixed with laughter.

"I am proud to stand as a candidate in a riding which encompasses the lovely city of Milton. Milton is one of Canada's fastest growing cities, with more than 100,000 inhabitants already and even more to come in the upcoming years. Milton was the fastest growing city in Canada for quite a few years, and it is still growing fast. Some say the population might double by 2031."

"But a fast growing population isn't the only thing Milton is famous for. Milton is a very diverse city with plenty of lovely neighbours and most importantly lovely people. Milton is a thriving city with plenty of culture and sports, such as the Milton Fall Fair just the other weekend, which has been a tradition for more than 160 years according to some of the residents I've spoken to. Such traditions bring a lot of value to a community and it is what brings people together."

"My party believes in protecting and supporting such events and the Canadian common heritage. We believe the Canadian history and heritage is important. We must know where we come from to determine where we are going, and we will do all we can to protect them, as we have done so far by for example supporting the creation of a Canadian Heritage Committee."

"But, I will not bore you any longer with an endless speech. Instead, we should do what we are really here to do: Eat good food and have a good time. So, Milton, now is your time to shine and show the rest of Canada, why this city is so great. Let's eat!"

The crowd cheers as Troels descends from the stage to partake in the BBQ. He was later seen letting several people in front of him in the line for the food, after which he received a big plate of ribs, which he ate in the company of several constituents and local campaigners.
