In AFFC, how can I make Stannis win if I play as Jon?

I had a save where we'd won every battle in the North, as I reached the Neck, Stannis was 'defeated' despite winning almost all of his battles, and whilst Stannis was sent to the Wall, I spent 10 years imprisoned before finally quitting. How can I make Stannis win?
