Insane stuttering 10ish years into the game

Hi Everyone,

I tried my first campaign in ck2 game of thrones but after about 10 years the game has started to stutter and is basically unplayable. I tried this twice more and same thing happened around 10 years in. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've got a couple mods from the steam workshop attached including one that apparently increases stability. I've tried running the game on the current version and the version meant for the mod. I also did all the normal ck2 support processes. Any help is much appreciated.
