A Civil War Road Trip- John Banks
Post Body

Okay I am not a book critic so I’ll give my opinion.

I have mad respect for this guy like as a person he seems like a real dude. On the surface his stories are super cool.

But I feel like this book was marketed weird. I would have rather gotten some accounts at the major sites from official sources (NPS Rangers). Instead we got some stories of people with zero qualifications ( again no offense to these people) but if I’m gonna spend some time reading I want it to be more official.

HOWEVER, I did enjoy the Fort Sumter and Andersonville sections.

But I did find a picture of a dude laying down on Bloody Lane a bit disgusting. But yanno what Americans go to other places and do much worse so I can let this go. But don’t be the person that goes and lays down at a sad site like that.

Now for the price tag, it is listed at $30. But I feel like for personal accounts it’s not worth as much as it would be if it were done w official sources. I ended up requesting for my library to get it.

Again read it because I’m just one person and everyone has certain things they do or don’t like.

Tell me what you think below if you’ve read it !
