new CHS diagnosis, is this normal?
Post Body

Hello everyone,

I was diagnosed last week with CHS at the ER like most it seems. I was having extreme stomach pain and bloating, which often caused me to make myself sick to relieve the pain and pressure. I was daily smoking THC carts and edibles, and likely caused this because I've been off work since September with a back injury.

I stopped smoking and the symptoms went away after a day or 2. It has now been approx. 8-9 days without any cannabis product, and I've started having mild CHS symptoms in the evenings. Last night I had to make myself sick because of the stomach discomfort, and tonight it was only a little bit, and later than normal. I have been very thirsty and have had chapped lips for almost 2 weeks now, but I also had COVID the last 3 weeks, so it is difficult to determine what is what.

I'm just looking for advice, is it normal to have mild CHS symptoms off and on for a bit until it's out of your system? Or is it strange this is happening to me?

In case it helps, I take Gabapentin daily, as well as a PPI.
