Self diagnosed CHS
Post Body

Hey all,

Glad to find this subreddit. I wanted to share my experience with what I think is CHS.

  • I'm totally addicted to weed, dab multiple times a day, and it doesn't really even get me high
  • For about a year now, every few months or so, I came down with what I was calling the "stomach flu"
  • when this happens, i usually wake up early with nasty stomach pain/cramps, then vomit and retch for many hours
  • there's chills then sweats from vomit then chills again

I started feeling it come on Sunday. This morning was really bad. I thought it was "another stomach flu" but on a whim, I got into a hot shower because I was tired of laying on the bathroom floor. What the fuck??!?!

About 5 minutes in the shower, and I felt literally no pain or nausea. That's what got me looking into this. After leaving the shower it came back, so I suffered until the hot water was back and spent 70 minutes just laid out under hot spray. That seemed to knock out the pain and I could drink water again. 5.5 hours later.

I seem to express literally every symptom of CHS. I drug myself to Walgreens and got some capsaicin cream. I'm kinda blown away honestly, that this shit / showers work and fixed the issues. Funny thing is, when this just started about a year ago, I went to a GI doctor. I told her my history and she strongly suggested it could be "marijuana gut" and I just laughed her off. It's not so funny anymore. :)
