How bad is it being a Panthers fan nowadays?
Post Body

Being Bears fans, we obviously complain a lot about a variety of things. (Not going to re-hash them, but IYKYK.) But being a Panthers fan right now has to be extraordinarily painful.

The Bears own their first round pick which also happens to be the #1. The Bears also got their former WR1 in a trade so they could draft Bryce Young. A QB their owner wanted and their former HC supposedly did not want. (Which is probably why he's the former HC...)

And then there's the 49ers using their former stud of a RB in Christian McCaffrey to power his current team to the Super Bowl. The picks the Panthers got in the trade (2023 2nd, 3rd & 4th round picks and 2024 5th round pick) haven't exactly blown anyone away yet. Doubt they will...

In this year's draft, it looks like Ryan Pace set it all up for them. 6 total picks, the first one being #33. Only 2 in the top 100. One each in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th round, 2 in the 6th round.

And in terms of cap space, they'll only have about $30 million to spend. And IF they franchise tag Burns, it'll cost them approximately $20-21 million.

So, basically, they're in the shit.

Rather than complain, I'm just going to enjoy that things are looking up for the Bears in a lot of ways. A lot of it thanks to the Panthers.
