Alabama’s resume isn’t even close to top 10 worthy. Week 1 blows out a Utah State team with a final record of 6-6. Week 2 beats 8-4 Texas only because of Quinn Ewers injury by 1 point. Didn’t even make the big 12 championship. Week 3 plays ULM. Week 4 Vanderbilt enough said. Week 5 Arkansas with a 500 record to end the regular season. Week 6. 4 point win over a Texas A&M team with a 5-7 record to end the season. Week 7 loss to Tennessee. Week 8 convincing win over miss. St. But their record is only 8-4. Week 10 loss to a 9-3 LSU coming off of a bye week. week 11 6 point win over an ole miss team that is 8-4. Week 12 Schedules a FCS team in the middle of November. Week 13 beats a 5-7 Auburn team. This means Alabama’s best win is over Mississippi state or Ole Miss both with a final regular season record of 8-4. How does it make since to have them in the top 6 going into a conference championship weekend that they aren’t even participating in while losing the only 2 meaningful games on their schedule?
