I honestly don't understand why this isn't the norm.
Have a former player thst gets the players hyped and can coach them from a general standpoint, great at recruiting. Pay for a great OC, and pay for a great DC.
A head coach, to me, doesn't knees to call either offensove or defensive plays. Just keeps everyone going on the same path
