So I’m a Terps fan and to be honest, nothing I’ve seen this season shows me progress for this football program. And Im having trouble gauging and evaluating Mike Locksley and where this program is at. I know the program was at disarray when Locksley inherited it. And I know he can’t fix it overnight. But I want to know there’s hope. I want to know that this program is salvageable. All I hear is that Locksley is a great recruiter, and the DMV is chock full of talent. But how do you convince players to come to your school if you’re not competitive? I guess this is more of a rant but can I get some outside thoughts on Locksley and if theres anything to be optimistic about in the future?
I think of the 7 teams in the Big Ten East, Maryland is last in recruiting this year. If recruiting is his biggest attribute, then hopefully it improves. To be fair, coaching at Maryland in the Big Ten East is a mountain of a task.
