Heather Dinich tweets about the CFB Playoff Committee
Post Body

"The committee’s job is to pick the four BEST teams - it’s stated in their protocol. Sometimes there is a conversation in the room, if these two teams played today, who would win?"

So speculation about “who we think would win” actually trumps head-to-head and season results. Why do we even play games except for the money if teams are chosen by named brand, recruiting rankings, and coaches history?

Comments

ESPN pushes this “four best teams” propaganda every year. I used to think it’s because they aren’t very smart (probably still true) but maybe they are shilling for certain brands for their own interests? Who knows
