Congrats to those who passed level 3 earlier this week. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some tips on how they prepared for the exam. What worked for you, what didn't? Did you do lots of mocks, EOC and BB questions? What would you have done differently in hindsight?
I wasn't able to sit the December exam as it was cancelled in my location but people on here seemed to suggest that it tested peripheral areas of the syllabus. Given that, would you say it'd be a good idea to focus on niche areas then whilst studying?
Apologies if this has been asked before but right now, this sub seems to be rife with Level 1 posts!
It is not 'peripheral' or 'niche' areas- I think a better description would be 'the questions ask mostly about core topics, but asks in ways you have NOT ever seen before' They do this with all 3 levels, but it becomes just another level more difficult on the AM. I consider myself a very good test taker, but I had to check myself within the first 30 minutes in order to not get flustered. I did finish the exam with enough time to briefly review/revise each answer.
Do practice tests until you are comfortable with the format and timing, do all EOC twice, and make sure you thoroughly understand each BB.
You will pass if you check off those items Good luck!
