I'm looking to do projections for tech stock valuations so was looking for sub-industry reports for size, growth and market share (e.g team collaboration SaaS).
Google gave only limited info, I saw another source where each report is $800! Is there something in-between with moderately priced (sub-$100, or free!) ones that consolidate things nicely.
Just do what an analyst does. Read conference call transcripts, and piece together management's growth forecasts. Relate a firm's marginal performance to its peers. That is where the real money is made- if you can weave those together into a story, people will pay for your research. And those transcripts are free.

Not quite- growth quarter over quarter and yoy, and forecasting the change in the current expected growth rates. ie, forecasting the second derivative of rev and margins, and how each of these relates to what is being seen at competing firms. And that is what you plug into your dcf as well.
For example- go check Roche's operating segments- 20% of their rev is coming from diagnostics, and we saw a low-mid single digit decline this period. That is interesting when looking at their peers, who are finding success there right now. But Roche's diagnostics are best of breed, and has a lot more in the pipe than just this year's pandemic... so potentially we are seeing some discounted value there? Or not?
Moats are subjective... but you can piece together most of the story just with the conference call transcripts. Your opinion will most likely be different than the market's.
