Formulas for CFA L1

Hi everyone,
Maybe I suck at searching, but couldn't find a definitive answer to this.
I'm registered for the L1 in December and just started the quantity section. I'm pretty good at calculating PV, etc with the financial calculator and was wondering if I should bother remembering each formula.
From what I understand, the L1 is multiple choice only and you can bring a financial calculator right?
