I work in the equity buyside and have a STEM background, but I did some classes in economics. I hear that 6 months are enough, therefore February would be fine. I think it'll take some time before ramping up the studies (finding the correct course our only studying with the CFA material, idk).
On the other hand, May perhaps it's a bit too far, I may not study enough (or study too much and burn before L2 and L3, idk). I also wonder if there are considerations over the dates for doing the L2 and L3 when making this choice.
I am 24M, don't have kids, my GF is onboard, and my job is likely below average in terms of how much time I need to spend working (versus other buyside seats, ofc, not the general public)
