Changing belt clip color on Vedder LightTuck

Anyone tried powder coating or otherwise changing the color of the clip for Vedder LightTuck.
The black clips work great with a black belt but on a brown belt the clip is super noticeable.
I have used with an UltiClip and that works well (I like it when I am not wearing a belt) and could work to clip behind the belt, but I feel like that is too much wear and tear on dress pants.
Would appreciate seeing a picture if you have done this. Thanks.
